BBBDaily App Privacy Policy
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 26 Sept 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Muse Consulting Pty Ltd (ABN 32 133 856 907), trading as Bigger Better Brains (“Bigger Better Brains”, “we”, “us”), handles your personal information when you use the BBB Daily Bite mobile app (the “app”). We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
1. How to contact us
If you have any questions about this policy or your personal information, contact us at hello@biggerbetterbrains.com .
2. What information we collect
When you create an account and use the app, we collect:
• Your email address, which you provide when you sign up.
• Your password, which you set through our sign-in provider. It is stored in encrypted form and is not visible to us.
• Your chosen topics, so we can show you Bites that suit your interests.
• Your daily reminder preference and the time you choose for it.
• Your device time zone, so a reminder arrives at the right local time.
• The Bites you save within the app.
• Basic technical information needed to run the app reliably and to diagnose problems.
We do not ask for your name, your street address, or your location to use the app.
3. Why we collect it
We use your information only to run the service, which means to:
• Create and manage your account and keep you signed in.
• Show you a daily Bite matched to the topics you have chosen.
• Send the daily reminder at the time you have set, if you have turned reminders on.
• Save the Bites you choose to keep.
• Keep the app secure and working, and respond to your requests for support.
4. How your information is stored and who can access it
We use Google Firebase (Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore) to run the app. Your information is stored in Google’s Australian (Sydney) data region. Google processes this information on our behalf as our service provider. Only people who need access to operate the service can view your information, and they are bound to keep it confidential.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for advertising.
5. Disclosure outside Australia
Your information is stored in Australia. Google is a global company, so in limited circumstances, such as technical support or security operations, some information may be accessed or processed outside Australia. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.
6. How long we keep your information
We keep your information for as long as you have an account. If you delete your account, we delete your profile information, including your chosen topics, reminder settings, and saved Bites. Some information may remain in routine backups for a short period before it is overwritten.
7. Keeping your information secure
We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access, including encrypted connections and the access controls provided by Google Firebase. No online service can be completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information.
8. Your rights and choices
You are in control of your information. Within the app you can:
• Change the topics you see at any time.
• Turn the daily reminder on or off, and change its time.
• Change your email address or password.
• Delete your account, which permanently removes your profile information and saved Bites.
You can also ask us to give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or to correct it, by emailing hello@biggerbetterbrains.com. We will respond within a reasonable time.
9. Children
BBB Daily Bite is made for teachers and other adult educators. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us and we will remove it.
10. Analytics and tracking
The app does not use third-party advertising or tracking. We use only the operational information described above to run the service. If this changes in future, we will update this policy first.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make an important change, we will update the date at the top and, where appropriate, let you know within the app.
12. Making a complaint
If you are concerned about how we have handled your personal information, please contact us first at hello@biggerbetterbrains.com so we can try to put it right. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
