What do a surgeon, an astronaut, a tech entrepreneur, and a Broadway star all have in common?

They all learned a musical instrument.

At Bigger Better Brains, we believe music learning is more than scales and songs—it’s brain training for whatever students dream of becoming. That’s why we created our “Wanna Be Like…” poster series: to help music teachers show students (and their schools) the powerful link between music learning and success in a wide range of professions.

Each image features a real person doing incredible things at the top of their field—someone your students can look up to. These individuals aren’t famous because they’re musicians… but their musical training helped shape the focus, creativity, discipline, and problem-solving that got them there.

Spotted in the Wild

On a recent school visit, Dr. Anita Collins saw Wanna Be Like… digital tiles lining the music corridor walls—turning a simple hallway into a celebration of music and possibility.

It was a powerful reminder of how these posters can spark curiosity and inspire students every day.
